At the show’s premiere in New York City on April 8, Munn revealed the behind-the-scenes prep that went into creating the show’s numerous sex scenes, including one where her character Sam bites Hamm’s character, Andrew “Coop” Cooper.

Hamm plays Coop, a former hedge fund manager dealing with divorce, disgrace, and now theft. Munn’s character, Sam, is entangled in a secret affair with him, seeking emotional connection through their physical relationship.
Creating Realism in TV’s Steamy Moments
“There’s a lot of choreography,” Munn explained. “A lot of dialogue before filming. Intimacy coordinators are like stunt coordinators. Their job is to make it look real and feel believable.”
She emphasized the emotional weight behind the scenes, saying her character clings to intimacy as a way to reach something deeper in their complex relationship.
About the Series: Perilous Relationships and Dark Secrets
Your Friends & Neighbors, which premieres on Apple TV+ on April 11, follows Coop as he struggles with the consequences of his divorce and resorts to robbing his affluent neighbors. But he never imagined how lethal what he finds underneath those well-preserved exteriors would be.
